Is Your Website Boring?

We're so glad you found us, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
So, you have built this great business idea of yours into a reality. You are networking around town and online. Now what?
A website is a wonderful step towards growing your business green. You can bring a wealth of information to your current and potential clients by having a site chock full of organic content (evolving and growing content). Forget about the hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars you would spend on printing newsletters, fliers & catalogs. An attractive business card (printed on recycled paper with non-toxic ink, of course) with a catchy website address is all you need to get your information out to the masses.
So, what kind of website do you create? Is there more then one? Learn from my trials and errors… there is! Many of you that have been around since the beginning of Eco-Office Gals may remember the static site I had, the free one with more restrictions then I care to remember? Not much goes on with a static site, there may be an updated article, picture or product changed here and there, but that is about it. Chances are if you’ve been to a static site once, not much will change if you go back next week. The owner of a static site depends on e-newsletters, forums and the like to get out new information. Plain and simple… BORING! Hey, I can be honest, I can critique myself, it was boring. At the time I didn’t think so because I was behind the scenes creating it. I was staying busy tweaking, trying to figure out different ways to keep you coming back to the same ol’ site with the same ol’ information over and over again.
So what is the alternative? A blogsite is a hybrid of a website and weblog, a fairly new concept where your blog also serves as your website. An example? You’re looking at one. At Eco-Office Gals I have dropped my old static sites and my separate blog and now I present to you the all new Blogsite! A blogsite is considered dynamic due to regular changes of content & comments and search engines tend to favor this form of website. A dynamic site is about change. Chances are, if you take a break from Eco-Office Gals for a week or two you will need to spend some time on the site to catch back up. Additionally, readers pick up blogs on RSS feeds, spreading you content even further out into the blogosphere! Blog platforms are also fairly easy to use and with so many or low cost or free themes and plug ins available, the sky is the limit!
Static sites are a thing of the past, as outdated as that computer you’re staring at! Get with the program and contact Eco-Office Gals about setting up a blogsite! All the cool kids are doing it!

I am all about blogging, since I do it for a living, so I appreciate this post on keeping it interesting. I just wonder why so many people don’t try this avenue and then don’t know why they aren’t gaining more traffic.

Not sure if my site is boring or not, but I’d like to increase the time on the site. We get lots and lots of new visitors, but our repeat visits are really low.

This is very much true that own’s website should look great and attractive for the website visitor. which make the visitor to visit again and again to your site. And for the search engine organic reasult, keyword research is the key point.
