Thanks for coming back! Don't miss a beat, subscribe to my RSS feed

rubberduck Squeaky Clean? There has been a lot of bubble buzz from the blogosphere. On the heels of  Johnson & Johnson’s Big Bubblin’ Stars Contest many concerned parents and consumers have brought to light J&J’s use of toxic chemicals in their baby bath products.  Now, I don’t blog much about green home and family issues, since there are plenty of great resources, some of them my own awesome clients.  However, I think it is an important issue to bring up and support. Rather then reinvent the wheel I will simply show some link love support. I hope you will take a minute to read, learn and comment.

All the best!

Thanks Jennifer for bringing this to your readers attention. I greatly appreciate it and as a mom you know the importance. Someday you’ll have to tell you readers about the time your hubs brought home the Suave! LOL!

OMG I still have 3/4 of a bottle of that crap!

  4. Thanks for doing the round-up. I’d love it if J&J would respond to our questions and concerns, but they’re not doing so. (See my post). I find it hypocritical that they claim to want to engage in social media to conversations, spend a lot of money courting mom bloggers, yet when one contacts them with some serious questions, they don’t know how to respond. Seriously…it’s been days since that post and they still haven’t answered these three questions…

    - What is J&J’s stance on the Kid Safe Chemical Act?
    - What does J&J think about the adverse affects of long term exposure to the thousands of chemicals used in personal care products?
    - Is this issue even being discussed at the industry level, through groups like the Personal Products Council?

Johnson and Johnson seem to own every beauty/cleaning product nowadays. My little one had skin problems around her neck. I can’t definitely say that’s due to J&J baby shampoo but all the skin problems/rushes disappeared when we started using organic products.

All i can say is always read the label

When I was pregnant my sister warned me not to use J&J products as her baby had very bad allergic reaction to any of their products. Its terrible that they can still put their stuff on the shelves and everyone I know with babies knows not to use their products.
