Flaunt It! Monday: Sally Lee Candles

Thanks for coming back! Don't miss a beat, subscribe to my RSS feed

Happy Monday! We have one of my favorites to review this morning… candles march 08 021 Flaunt It! Monday: Sally Lee Candlescandles. I love scented candles, but due to being educated a while back about paraffin candles I haven’t bought any in quite some time so it was really nice to have the opportunity to do a review for Sally Lee Candles. Sally Lee Candles makes Soy candles.  A little about Sally Lee  (from the site)

We love candles and that’s why we handpour Scented Soy Candles for our customers to enjoy.

Unlike ‘regular’ candles, our candles don’t produce toxic fumes when they burn! Yes, ‘regular’ candles produce black soot and fumes.  Our candles are natural & non-toxic!

I enjoyed experiencing this wonderful candle. I was sent the 4oz cinnamon bun. I love spicy scents and it would have been hard for me to choose between the cinnamon bun, apple pie or pumpkin pie. I did not make a scent request for this review, I just mentioned that I was allergic to Jasmine so I was so excited that this is the scent picked for me to review.

The candle really made the house smell amazing – the whole house – not just 2 inches around the lit wick like some candles. The candle burned fairly well.  I realize there are a set of instruction for caring for candles properly, and I’m not always the best at flowing direction, it my have lasted longer if I had done so.

Sally Lee Candles also implement Green policies (from the site):

Sally Lee Candle Co. is trying to be as earth-friendly as possible.  We believe in not “over-packaging” products, re-using boxes/papers etc.  Your order may be delivered in a used box with used newspaper or shredded office papers…but your product will be brand new!  The tins we use are made from 30% recycled materials so please wash them out with hot soapy water when done…and then use again!

We have several other green items we are working on including adding solar panels to our workshop to power our manufacturing process!

Now, that what I love to see… small businesses growing green!

The fumes from soy candles are not toxic or harmful, as opposed to those from paraffin.
