Stocking stuffers, we tend not to do them in this house. My girls are girlie girls, so Piggy Paint was a huge hit. There are many cute colors to choose from, it would be hard for me to choose. Luckily, I didn’t have to, my sample was randomly selected for me. They sent us a bottle of Forever Fancy & a bottle of their Nail Polish Remover to try out on our piggy’s, yes I am sporting some on my piggy’s, too.  I tend to be very sensitive to the harsh smell of nail polish. My girls probably even think I’m a little mean because I almost NEVER paint there nails. I just can’t stand the smell, I have to really get in the mood to deal with it. Piggy Paint is almost void off all harsh scents!  It dries fairly quickly and lasts as long as other mainstream nail polish.

I originally tried the Remover on my leftover black nail polish from Halloween, it didn’t seem to touch it. So, this morning I gave it a shot on the piggy paint. It takes more scrubbing then regular remover, the bottle says to soak the nail with a saturated cotton ball for 30 seconds, I don’t have any cotton balls and the TP wasn’t cutting it.  So, I’m not currently having much luck with the remover.

Been a while since I have done a Flaunt It, for sure. Been busy busy, but there is much to introduce to you so the show must go on! Today I bring you:

First, I will address the fact that I am not a woman of color. Actually, I’m very fair skinned. That doesn’t mean I don’t get dry skin, so I was still an eligible candidate to check out some product.

I particularly love the Avocado Cream and the Organic Shea Butter Balm – Lemon, but it was interesting to try many new ingredients like goats milk and this had been my first time trying hemp lotion. I appreciate that Michelle works hard to bring her clients natural ingredients for their specific skin types and takes the time to produce natural products for her customers. Additionally, she works hard to make skin care products that really work for ethnic skin types rather then just claiming to with no real results.

Going green has become a popular thing to do, and thankfully this also means that you are taking better care of yourself. These methods can keep you feeling healthy and also ensure that you are doing your part to maintain healthy and eco-friendly living.

1. Go Organic: Not only does organic food taste better as it lacks the usual pesticides, but that also makes it better for the environment. Picking organic fruits and vegetables ensures that no pesticides or additives are used, and this means it’s healthier for you and for the environment.
2. Choose to Walk: If you have the option to walk to a chosen destination rather than jumping in the car, then try it out. This ensures that you get in some exercise which contributes to a healthy and natural lifestyle. In the process, you are also doing your part to eliminate dangerous emissions from your car. So walk it out!
3. Quit Smoking: Smoking isn’t just bad for you; it’s also bad for the environment. You are literally polluting the air when you exhale the harmful smoke from cigarettes. Guest Post: 7 Ways to Go Green and Improve Your Health

Happy Monday! Let jump right in and strut some stuff! Faerie Made Soaps is our company for the week. A little background from the site:

Faerie Made sent over their sample pack so I could try several of their products including:

.10 oz facial elixir, a .25 oz sample each of our toners (rose and neroli), one each of our facial masques (Glacial clay and rose argiletz) and one half ounce sample each of our soaps we recommend for face (lavender citrus, oatmeal honey, and sea spa).

Tina was also awesome enough to add a sample of her Muscle Rub after listening to me whine and cry about my sciatica.

So, what did I think of the products?

I’ll start with my first round of mini-makeover, I needed to take a new picture for a blog I will be guest writing for, many of you have complimented on that picture and I will say my skin looks pretty dang good! That day I used the Rose Masque, Oatmeal Honey Soap, Neroli Toner and the Facial Elixir.  I’m going to start with the Facial Elixir I fell in love the first time I applied it. Just two little drops covered and made my face feel silky smooth and it smells really great! I will say that although the Rose Masque did a great job, I didn’t care for the smell of it; a strong clay/dirt smell, waiting for it to dry up so I could wash it off was a bit of a struggle. The toner is very light scented, more my style and the soap was great.

The second round included the Glacial Milk Masque, Sea Spa Soap, Rose Toner and Facial Elixir. This was my favorite combo of the two.  The hubby and I both participated in this makeover.  He has terribly dry skin and I saw a massive improvement the next morning.  The Glacial Milk Masque had a much lighter scent, seemed to dry quicker and I really liked the Sea Spa Soap. Elixir still reigned as the favorite and, unfortunately we drained the sample that day.

Currently I am using the last soap, Lavender Citrus, which I like and the toners.  The muscle rub also has a non-medicinal scent, covers well and is not greasy. I can’t attest to the functionality of it yet since my sciatica gets so intense when I get it that meds often don’t help.  It’s gone now, but who knows what combination of anything actually did the trick!
