10 easy steps to help you green up your office routine. Try it for Earth Day. Make it a habit.
- Grab an empty paper box and make it a recycle box for your desk.
- Dump your stale coffee on the plants instead of down the drain.
- Shut off the light when you leave the rest room.
- Stop printing emails.
- Going out to lunch? Go local. Walk.
- Sniff out toxic dry erase markers – get them out of the office.
- Collect old magazines around the office and drop them off at a school, or doctors office.
- Got cleaning supplies? Replace with non-toxic as you run out.
- Turn down the thermostat.
- Go meatless – bring in a meatless lunch.

Yeah, and most doctors will usually very first attempt to treat you with some kind oral antifungal prescription i.e. supplements, which as is widely identified in the post-scientific blindness era, generally do not perform as nicely as time-tested home remedies.

Offices should certainly use recycled paper as standard for those people who still want to print emails, and I agree with the comments above – computers really should be turned off at night, it’s a massive waste of electricity leaving them on.

Turning off your PCs at night helps save power and the planet. Some new surge protectors and battery packups will turn off peripherals whenever your PC goes to sleep.

Even if people can’t resist printing emails, offices should at least be using 100% recycled paper to print on. There’s just no reason not to!

I am not sure that I can stop printing certain emails, but I definitely encourage the people in my office to turn their computers and monitors off at night. That is a huge waste of energy.

Cutting back on meat is one of the simplest things we can do to reduce our carbon footprint. Its also great for your health. Did you know that meat consumption has been linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and certain types of cancer? These illnesses are four of the largest killers in the United States and they’re all preventable.
You don’t even have to become a full vegetarian to help the planet and your health; even a small change in what you eat makes a huge impact. If every American skipped just one chicken meal a week, for example, the carbon dioxide savings would be the same as taking more than a half-million cars off U.S. roads.
I work on a non-profit health campaign called Meatless Monday, which encourages Americans to forgo meat once a week to improve their health and reduce their carbon footprint. Skipping meat one day a week reduces your saturated fat intake by 15%, which is a easy way to decrease your risk of illness. Having a Meatless Monday is a simple step that anyone can take. For tips, recipes, and more information about the campaign you can visit our website, http://www.MeatlessMonday.com
