I don’t think anyone who witnessed the tragic events on 9/11 will ever forget – I can narrate that entire day as if it happened this morning! Every call, news reporters watching in shock, arguing with the VP that the towers were leaning, insisting they were going to come down. That is one argument I would have gladly lost. The days of heartache and tears for the lives lost. I think my memories are more specific then the birth of my girls!
The Twin Towers open the same year I was born, I traveled to the top of them every summer at day camp. They should have stood long long after I was a distant memory on this earth.
Yet, they no longer stand tall in the New York skyline, but they will always loom in our memories. They will live in the background of old family photos. They will live forever in our hearts – symbolic of the pain suffered by so many that morning.
9/11 – NEVER FORGET!
